The Church on The Lake
Beucha, Germany, October 2015
Surrounded from three parts by the clear water of a lake created in an old mine, stands the little church on the top of a hill, right in the heart of a small town. Hidden by houses and gardens, one cannot find it unless they know exactly what and where to look for.
The Dam
Lockwitzbach, Germany, Oktober 2011
There’s always something fascinating about the texture and the color tones and shades of old wood. Maybe because even if, in general, it seems to have the same aspect, each piece is totally different than the rest, has it’s own cracks and stains, like all the other living beings in this world.

Resting
Diesbar-Seußlitz, Germany, March 2015
In spite of clod gusts of wind, this little one chose a hidden from humans’ eyes spot between the branches of a fallen tree, and she was resting there, beak under the wing. I think that when standing still in the rays of sun warmed her back, making it all cozy for her.
Ghost-like Silhouette
Schönefeld, Germany, March 2015
The hazy light of sunny spring day adds to the eerie atmosphere created by the silhouette of the old castle, even more visible now as the trees have almost no foliage, yet even more ghost-like.
Mirrored
Naunhof, Germany, December 2014
Winter stole one of the nature’s beautiful image and locked it in the ice of the lake. Only for a short time, though, only until the frozen cover of the lake melts and the stolen image dissipates.
Ice cold mirror
December 2014, Naunhof, Germany
Winter decided to reveal us a bit of its splendor, and covered the nature with a thin layer of snow, sparkling in the sun like diamond dust. It transformed the lake in a frozen, motionless mirror. The trees leaned over it admiring themselves and how good the white on their branches fits them.
Encounter with a heron
Dresden, Germany, May 2013
This long-legged, gracious creature stopped for a little break on the lake in the park, in a late afternoon. The heron kept me under close observation as I stopped to snap pictures. Was almost to miss my train, but it was worth.
